When applying for membership, you will have the option of applying for access to the AOAO Case Log System at the member discounted rate of $100. After graduation, continued usage of the AOAO Case Log System requires payment on an annual basis to maintain access. Access for the 2011-2012 year cycle is from July 1, 2011 until June 30, 2012.

Active Membership

The requirements for Active Status Membership are:

Current annual dues are $350.00 and are payable in October each year and become
delinquent after March 1st. Dues are payable only after AOAO Board of Directors’ approval
of the membership application.

Benefits of Being An AOAO Member:

Continuing Education Requirements for Active Members:

  1. Shall register and attend one out of every three Annual Meetings held each fall;
    and

  2. Shall register and attend one out of every three Postgraduate Seminars held each
    spring

  3. Failure to meet the requirement of registration and attendance:
    a. Shall be timely notified in writing of non-compliance
    b. Shall be presented to the Board for appropriate action

Associate Membership

The requirements for Associate Status Membership are:

Among the many benefits to you as an AOAO Member are the following:

Current annual dues are $200.00 and are payable in October each year and are delinquent after March 1st. Dues are payable only after AOAO Board of Directors’ approval of the membership application.

Associate members shall have voice but no vote in the affairs of the Academy. They may not
become an officer or director, but may serve on committees, either as a member or chairmen. They may not serve on the Board of Directors. An applicant who would otherwise be eligible for either Candidate or Active Membership may not become an Associate Member.

Candidate Membership

The requirements for Candidate Status Membership are:

No annual dues for Candidate Members.

The AOAO Annual Postgraduate Seminar held each spring and the Annual Meeting held
each fall provide excellent opportunities to meet with your peers, and to keep up-to-date on
the latest in current Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgery techniques.

Allied Health Professional Membership

The requirements for Allied Health Professional Status Membership are:

Current annual dues for Allied Health Professionals are $175.00 and are payable in October
each year and are delinquent after March 1st. Dues are payable only after AOAO Board of
Directors’ approval of the membership application.

The AOAO Annual Postgraduate Seminar held each spring and the Annual Meeting held
each fall provide excellent opportunities to meet with your peers, to obtain valuable
Continuing Medical Education credits, and to keep up-to-date on the latest in current
Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgery techniques.

Military Membership

The requirements for Military Status Membership are:

Among the many benefits to you as an AOAO Member are the following:

Current annual dues for those in the military service are $200.00 and are payable in October
each year and are delinquent after March 1st. Dues are payable only after AOAO Board of
Directors’ approval of the membership application. This is a reduction of $150.00 from the
dues paid by the private practice.

A requirement of Military Membership is to attend one out of every three Annual Meetings
held each fall or one out of every three Postgraduate Seminars held each spring. These meetings provide excellent opportunities to meet your peers, to obtain valuable
Continuing Medical Education credits, and to keep up-to-date on the latest in current
Osteopathic Orthopedic Surgery techniques.
